Harvest Season: Challenge Accepted
It’s harvest time. Believe it or not, this fits.
Talking about a personal harvest season might sound odd stacked up against the last few years of relentless change and collective struggles.
In 2020, covid catapulted us beyond any familiar sense of normalcy. Even more peculiar to these past few years - the list of endless challenges include both deeply personal growing pains alongside large scale community hardships.
The crumbling foundations of ingrained systems and beliefs have shaken us out of our old comfort zones. Paradoxically, when has there been such a deeply personal inner journey being experienced collectively by so much of humanity?
Cracking us open to a new hope
We’ve been pushed up against old beliefs and pushed into new levels of soul searching.
The harvest: globally we are reclaiming our soul self.
New foundations of connection are being seeded against the old strata of separation and hierarchy. Undeniably our wellbeing is connected to the wellbeing of everyone - including the planet’s.
To see the harvest amidst the rubble
Take some time to reflect. Since 2019 which of these can you say is true for you (and / or others who are close to you)?
Grown more accepting of others
Been more open versus closed-hearted with others
Not as quick to jump to judge others
Dropped some of my old judgements
Amiably connected with people I wouldn’t have in the past
Taken action to support other people
Taken action to support people experiencing hardship
Built new types of relationships
Found new meaning in the words “neighborly” and “community”
Through the detritus and nihilism there are new foundations taking hold. New life-giving roots. What is exciting! In the coming years the harvest will be more and more evident above ground.
